Area Sales Manager Scandinavia

Job Purpose Statement: The Sales Manager will establish and service a portfolio of major accounts in the territory and offer solutions developed by getAbstract. The Sales Manager will be assigned a revenue goal that he or she must meet or exceed on a quarterly and annual basis. The chosen candidate will be supported by the getAbstract Competence Center, based in Lucerne.

Job Functions:

  • Sell the complete line of getAbstract products and services.
  • Maintain forecasts, account activity and notes in Salesforce.
  • Prepare and negotiate proposals with prospects and customers.
  • Maintain product knowledge and actively participate in product and sales-skills training sessions held throughout the year.
  • Professionally represent getAbstract in all business transactions and be responsible for overall customer satisfaction in assigned accounts.
  • Prepare for and actively participate in account reviews on a quarterly basis.
  • Develop and maintain product-demonstration skills through frequent practice.

Formal Education: A bachelor’s degree is the minimum requirement.

Industry Experience:

  • Three years of successful sales experience in the software, database or training industry
  • Knowledge of leadership development is preferred
  • Management of major corporate accounts

Equipment and Software Experience:

  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook

Other Requirements:

  • Outstanding English skills are a must
  • Effective oral, written-communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Use of ethical business practices
  • Self-motivated, high-achieving attitude
  • Ability to work from home office
