You are the Chief Learning Officer and a new getAbstract customer. One of your key corporate initiatives is to increase market share in large accounts through Strategic Solution Selling. The VP of sales and marketing has asked what you can do to create a targeted learning stream to support his sales team.

Below, you will see how easy this is if you use getAbstract's Competency Builder™.

First, you decide you want to add a Marketing & Sales competency group. The sales and marketing vice president and you have decided there are three competency streams for this group: Basic Selling and Solution Selling for the sales people, and Marketing for the corporate marketing team.

The Competency Builder has two components: one to view and edit the competencies (i.e. Basic Selling, Solution Selling and Marketing) and one to view and edit the competency tabs. The finished competencies can then be directly placed on your intranet or LMS. Using the Tab Menu, you enhance your customized getAbstract library by adding a new tab (e.g. Marketing & Sales) which will also feature the new competency.
 


Using the Solution Builder, you can either manually or automatically select which book summaries appear in each competency list, and in what order. You can also set the start date and end date for these initiatives, so you are able to plan and create your learning objectives in advance.

The Competency Builder will automatically generate URLs that can be used within your company's intranet to provide seamless integration. So learning can be dynamic, relevant and continuous.
 


Now clicking on the newly created competency will bring up the list you just created, fully integrated and with automatic links to the summaries. These can then be made available to the VP's sales team via e-mail, RSS feeds or other mechanisms.
