Patrick Brigger, PhD., Co-Founder and Chairman

Patrick Brigger is co-founder and chairman of getAbstract. He obtained his PhD at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), Lausanne. From 1995 to 1998, he was a staff member and later head of the Signal Processing Laboratory at the National Institutes of Health, Washington, D.C. His work was honored with a Small Business Innovation Research Grant. Later in his career, Patrick founded a US software-development and IT consulting company in the New York Tri-State area. At the same time, he was also working at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center in Hawthorne, NY. In 2005, Patrick and Thomas moved to the United States to ramp up getAbstract’s US sales and to expand its business into the Americas. He is operationally responsible for IT and B2C marketing.
