John C. Bogle

John Clifton "Jack" Bogle (May 8, 1929 – January 16, 2019) was an American investor, business magnate and philanthropist. The founder and chief executive of The Vanguard Group, Bogle made index investing more popular and became its leading proponent. He also became an adamant critic of the US financial system, and the mutual fund industry in particular.
