HR专业人士同时也可能还是分析师、经营伙伴、顾问、教练、领导、创新者、战略家、技术专家或者其他角色,有时候可能还需要同时身兼数职。优秀的HR领导还要参与总体战略制定,为直线经理提供建议,还要举办各种活动与员工互动,并使得公司不但能够留住员工,还能吸引更多的人才加入。所有这些工作都要求HR们将精力放在公司的内部体制上。面临此状况,你必须弄清自己的定位:你的工作性质是执行者还是管理者?

变革来临之际,HR专业人员要利用好一些以往被忽略的重要资源,即信息、技术和外部利益相关者。这意味着你要拓展视野,和关键外部参与者产生关联,包括客户、业务伙伴、投资者、供应商和社区成员,这些外部人员可能会对公司的长远发展提供重要的机遇。要达成这些外展目标,你可以采取如下措施:(1)邀请经营伙伴参与内部培训;(2)与客户和供应商共同制定员工绩效考核办法;(3)建立起作为雇主和领导的威信和名声;(4)在社会上塑造公司的正面形象;(5)与客户一起招聘新人并奖励优秀员工;(6)与投资者和股东一起制定公司发展战略。

HR专业人员还应该从公司运营、财务、IT和其他方面来协助公司领导的工作,学习以非HR的视角来看待问题。此外,HR经理必须要具有更广阔的工作范畴,了解行业、社会、政治、经济和文化动态对于公司前景的影响,发掘其中的机会。然后,他们必须要用自己的专业眼光,从人才、文化和无形人力因素的角度把观察到的东西应用到工作实践中来。
