眼前的金融风暴在美国职员当中引起了阵阵恐慌、焦虑和愤怒。人们担心经济,也担心自己的工作不保,于是把这种情绪带到办公室里来。这些负面的感觉会对工作环境构成什么样的影响呢?闷闷不乐而又情绪化的人可能会表现无常,也可能会因退缩、冒进而拒绝合作。他们可能无法按时完成工作,冒犯客户惹恼同事,并且毫无作为。持续的危机可能会让他们过于谨慎,不敢承担风险。恐惧可能会降低他们的生产力,妨碍沟通,抑制创造力。

作为管理者,不要试图通过逼迫员工压抑自己的情绪来解决问题。相反,应鼓励人们认清自己的情绪,并且以公开的,健康的方式倾诉出来。如果需要,可以聘请富有经验的心理咨询专家。虽然有些人认为专业管理者应该掩盖自己的喜怒情绪,但如果你完全没有感情,你也不可能对工作充满热忱,投入感情能为公司带来向前发展的原动力。

成功的秘诀

成功人士具有众多的共同点。他们对自己的能力充满自信,也相信自己的直觉。他们终身好学,孜孜不倦地广泛学习各种知识。在提出解决问题的办法之前,成功者通常先了解情况。虽然他们擅长身兼数职,但同时也善于分派任务。他们将聪明过人,精力充沛,极富天份的同僚团结在自己周围,在生活中也坚守自己的道德准则。

巴顿·戈德史密斯(Barton Goldsmith)博士,身兼心理治疗师、专栏作者、作家和电台主持人等数职,他的文章曾获各大知名刊物刊载,其中包括《芝加哥太阳时报》、《亚特兰大宪报》和《洛杉矶商报》。

    我的理解: 这是由于被恐惧支配的决策,过于防守,没有创造力,自然无法实现!
