A new paradigm called “Learning in the Flow of Work” represents the latest of a series of stages in the evolution of corporate training. These stages have developed in response to technological innovations and economic conditions. After the invention of the PC in 1981, trainers stopped carrying around projectors and slides, and started delivering programs on CD-ROM and video disk. The growing need for databases to track learning progress led to training management systems and learning management systems.
