In its annual Value Creators Rankings report, professionals at the Boston Consulting Group analyze the biggest and best-performing companies on the basis of total shareholder returns (TSR). In a concise but informative overview for executives, analysts and investors, the authors shed light on the TSR value-creation achievements of firms, industries and regions. They find that, while North America still is home to most of the top companies, businesses in Asia are on the ascent.

Media, technology and health care services firms lead the pack in total shareholder returns (TSR).

After analyzing 33 industries and 2,200 companies across the globe, the 2019 Value Creators Rankings shows that, on a TSR basis, large-capitalization companies have delivered solid returns, even during highly volatile markets.
