- Well Structured
Many CEOs regard supply chain and sourcing operations as having “about the same…sex appeal as broccoli.” But good supply chain management and thoughtful sourcing can substantially contribute to a company’s success in the market. Supply chain and sourcing can increase revenue, improve profitability, reduce risk and drive excellence in the business. Supply chain and sourcing expert Suman Sarkar explains how good supply chains work and explores how companies can profit by developing their supply chain and sourcing operations. With the right leadership, the supply chain and sourcing functions can provide more of a competitive edge than product development or marketing. getAbstract recommends Sarkar’s report to senior executives and to supply chain and sourcing insiders.

3 years agoThe book seems to aim at covering supply chain management, strategy and segmentation and while at it it does not inspire confindence that the auther really looked into how to implement a superior supply chain, and that would have meant to get its hands dirty...
3 years agoDear Mr. De Urgoiti,
Thanks for your comment. I think you've hit on the distinction between a five-page summary and a book. We give you a solid look at the subjects covered in a book and its intent and factual meat, so that you're informed and understand the contents. However, we can't reproduce every hands-on instruction the author suggests. If the summary intrigues you to the extent that you want to check the author's implementation details, then we've served yet another purpose: pointed you toward a book you may want to read. We appreciate your feedback,
