Without even knowing it, humanity has entered a new reality, where each person has already left a digital footprint.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking that the metaverse is just a new, video game–style cyberspace for entertainment. The metaverse isn’t even wholly separate from your current reality. You may not have gone so far as to create a digital avatar, but your digital fingerprints are already scattered all over the metaverse.

No one is prescient enough to know how the metaverse will play out in the future, but there’s no doubt that it will change the way people work and the way they live. Before artificial intelligence, the metaverse couldn’t have come into being, but with AI, the metaverse will be made up of “parallel digital worlds of data,” with “hyper-realistic visualization of spaces and objects or insights that were previously inconceivable.”

Technology’s task is to overcome the limitations imposed by time, distance and sight. 

As Peter Drucker said, “You can’t manage what you can’t measure.” More data is available now than at any other...
