Trust and Be Trustworthy

by David Meyer

Learn to evaluate your trustworthiness and everybody else’s.

A “trusted source.”

Entrepreneur Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia and the Wikimedia Foundation, finds he’s been conducting a global trust exercise since Wikipedia’s 2001 launch, with the online encyclopedia as his lab and test case.

As well as being a popular reference source, Wikipedia has become a worldwide community dedicated to creating and maintaining trustworthy, truthful entries about almost everything. It exemplifies how people can share knowledge and build things together. As people create communities, they become invested in them. Wikipedia sprang from this fact of human nature.
