Aperçu
If you're unhappy at work, the problem could be inside you.
Recommendation
This is a very interesting book for anyone who wonders why he or she is unhappy at work or how to make the workplace more human. The book is based on the "Seven Principles of Inner Excellence." Each principle is stated at the outset of a chapter and then explained through storytelling, using both personal stories and classics. You will recognize the stories told by the author, but their application in a business context has new value. Some readers might have difficulty appreciating the concepts raised in this book, although it is written in a very simple, direct style. As the author acknowledges, these spiritual concepts may be foreign to most business people. Still, you may enjoy getting to understand them. In fact, the messages in this book tend to grow on readers after a few days. getAbstract recommends this book to middle level managers who wish to consider these humanistic principles for themselves and their employees, and to owners of small to medium-sized businesses who want to introduce a spiritual element into their business practices.
