Recommendation
Author Dave Anderson has a simple technique. He selects from outrageous news stories that he believes show an excess application of political correctness (that is, in his eyes, too much bending over backward to be fair) and uses them to get you angry. Then he offers basic management advice to counter the possibility that you might behave like the folks in the story. His wisdom from the work world is conventional, but he does imbue his text with personality, albeit sometimes negatively. He describes himself as a crusading truth-teller willing to speak out against conventional opinion. In fact, he writes - perhaps just in order to emphasize his ideas - in the voice of an arch conservative: anti-immigration, antiminority and, apparently, intolerant. In other words, Anderson seems quite proud that his politics are incorrect. His short doses of management advice arrive with that flag clearly flying. If you think that political correctness has gotten out of hand, and want to see the pendulum swing the other way, getAbstract believes that you’ll be pretty pleased with this book.
