Full Stack Lead Developer (80%-100%)

The Team

We are building a multidisciplinary 4-person core team, that innovates and challenges the status quo with a strong «Why not?» attitude. The team works in startup mode, lives a learning culture where it’s safe to fail-fast and uses each hurdle as a chance to learn.

Your role

You will be horizontally involved throughout the process of creating ideas as such you will be part of the Lab’s core team working on innovation venture projects where you will create beautiful, modular, testable and scalable code.

Core responsibilities

  • Create own code for rapid end to end prototyping (MVPs) to get our concepts in the hands of real customers.
  • On a need to have basis, coordinate and work closely with external freelance software developers (Frontend, Backend, Mobile), UX Designers, AI and Machine Learning Engineers to identify and incorporate the relevant knowledge from their respective domains into your solutions.
  • Willing to quickly learn new technologies and execute independently. Research and suggest new products, applications and protocols.
  • Work with data scientists to improve prototypes.

Key Qualifications and Experience

  • 3+ years full stack development experience either from a corporate or startup environment.
  • Have an eye for good design, a sense of good UX and the ability to empathize with different user personas.
  • A very strong sense of ownership is a must along with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Practical experience of multiple front-end languages (e.g. JavaScript, React), backed up by understanding of back-end languages (e.g. Java, Python) and cloud techs.
  • Any additional knowledge in User Experience and User Interface design is a strong asset.
  • Possess strong written and spoken English communication skills (German a plus) and enjoy cross team collaboration.

Digital Product Designer (50% gradually increasing to 80%-100%)

The Team

Your role

As part of the Lab’s core team, you will receive the opportunity to develop your digital product designer skills. From the beginning you will be taking over a horizontal position in which you will work along the entire product development lifecycle: From research, ideation, testing, MVP implementation and beyond.

Core responsibilities

  • Strategy and Research: Conduct market research(e.g. market players, market maps) and user research(e.g. user pain points, expectations, opportunities) to find problems that are worth solving and to validate critical hypothesis. It is our main goal to reach out to potential and existing users to be aware of their needs that will help us come up with new ideas and insights.
  • Product definition: Turn strategic and market insights into requirements for a product. Development of user personas, feature definition and user journeys.Understand pain points, find opportunities and help running related workshops.
  • Iteration: Help turning feature-set and flows into preliminary mockups (wire frames)and prototypes (MVPs)and iterate based on data.
  • Content design: Understand and define what the content of a product shall be and how to design it.
  • UI Design: Build and apply your knowledge to create visually attractive products (Design, Sound, Motion).

Key Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in complex multi-stakeholder project management on an international basis.
  • Feeling comfortable in unknown territories.High motivation to learn on the job everything related to end-to-end innovation,design-thinking processes.
  • Possess strong written and spoken English communication skills (German a plus)and enjoy cross team collaboration.
