Recommendation

Arianna Huffington, new-media pacesetter and editor-in-chief of The Huffington Post Media Group, offers advice on physical and mental well being intertwined with tales from her glamorous life. Her premise is simple: Most people structure their lives – as Huffington says she did – around the pursuit of success. But the attendant stress led to a physical collapse that, Huffington reports, served as her wake-up call about the dangers of pushing herself too hard and also led her to write this book. Given that money and power are two metrics of success, Huffington proposes a third metric of a life well spent, and it stands on four “pillars”: “well-being, wisdom, wonder and giving.” getAbstract finds that with this humanized approach to living a well-rounded life while being rich, famous, powerful and fabulous – or not – Huffington once again embodies the zeitgeist.
