Diversity

Valuing individuals and groups free from prejudice, fostering a climate where equity and mutual respect are intrinsic. This can be along the dimensions of race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical ability, religious beliefs – or none, political beliefs, other ideology or intersections of these qualities. It is the exploration of these differences in a safe, positive, and nurturing environment. Diversity relates to the working environment and to the wider movement towards a society that encourages and respects difference in all its forms.
