Strategy without an effective method of execution is worthless, no matter how good it looks on PowerPoint. Chris McChesney, Sean Covey and Jim Huling – all FranklinCovey consultants – provide managers with a process for realizing “wildly important goals.” They offer a simple yet effective four-step formula for execution, from goal setting to application and accountability. Although the concepts are basic, the clear instructions for implementation make this book a standout. Unfortunately, some of the content verges on being too promotional of FranklinCovey’s training, services and products. Setting this foible aside and focusing on the good stuff, getAbstract recommends this clear strategy manual to all business leaders.

3 years agoA must read for every leader - very well summarized - clear and easy to understand and apply.
5 years agoIt is also useful for me. The suggestions of 4 DX are helpful for us to get change to happen. we could apply 4 DX rules for translating strategy into action. Through applying the disciplines in some project management, I think it could help me achieve goals as well as better results. In my past experiences, if we spend enough time to let employee really understand "why" the new strategy before implementation, it will have a chance to inspire employee to do the more excellent execution as well as results in organization. What previous experience you have ? or what do you see key factors in excellent execution or any thoughts?

5 years agoExcellent book. Execution is they key to making things happen and an essential complement to strategy. Very practical and applicable information.
